Privacy policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026.

This policy covers Dice Chess, the game for Amazon Fire TV made by Fortemate. It does not cover this website, or the services of Amazon that the app is installed and runs with.

This version of the app does not collect, send or share information about you. It has no accounts and no analytics, and it does not connect to the internet. What it remembers stays on your TV.

So that you can carry on where you stopped, the app keeps these in its own storage on the TV:

  • the game in progress, with its dice roll and whose turn it is;
  • your results against each computer opponent, by the color you played;
  • the number of games against a friend won by White, won by Black and drawn, which is not tied to who sat at the remote;
  • your settings: sound effects, music and its volume, voices, the color you play against the computer, the host of games against a friend, whether the board turns for friends, the board highlight style, whether OK presses itself when there is only one choice, and whether you have answered the offer of the tutorial.

If the record of results can no longer be read, the app keeps a copy of it on the TV rather than deleting it, and starts a new record. A saved game that can no longer be read is cleared, and a setting that can no longer be read goes back to its default. None of this leaves the TV, and Fortemate cannot see it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

  • It does not connect to the internet or to other devices. Everything it shows and plays comes with the app.
  • It does not ask for your name, email address or any account.
  • It does not use a microphone or a camera. The characters’ voices are recordings that come with the app.
  • It does not read your location, your contacts or identifiers of your TV.
  • It contains no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising code.

The game is made for players of every age, children included. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

You get the app as a package from GitHub, or from the Amazon Appstore, and play it on a Fire TV. Amazon’s services, such as your Amazon account, the Appstore, the Fire TV itself and Alexa, handle information under Amazon’s Privacy Notice, not under this policy. The app plays its sounds through the Fire TV’s own media player, which is part of Amazon’s system.

If a later version of the app handles information differently, this page will say so before that version is published, and the date at the top will change.
